Kernow Software was formed in 2005 by managing director Graham Murt after moving back to his home town of Padstow in Cornwall from London where he worked as a software developer for various sectors including Transport & Logistics, Healthcare software & Customer relationship management (CRM) solutions.
e-Restaurant, our flagship product, has actually been in development for about ten years, long before Kernow Software was established. The idea was conceived while Graham was working for Rick Stein in Padstow and saw the need for a restaurant management system which was both powerful and user-friendly, two factors which rarely went hand-in-hand with existing systems.
Since the official release of e-Restaurant, we have also been busy writing our new product, Education Centre Manager which has been developed in close collaboration with two local Kip McGrath Education Centres.
As if software development didn't provide enough adrenaline and excitment (!), when not in the office working on the "next big thing", Graham can be found wakeboarding on the river, skydiving, or once a year, snowboarding with friends in the French Alps.
Oh, and if you're wondering about the photos at the top of each page of the website, these are all taken in or around Padstow, no more than a five minute walk or drive from the Kernow Software office. |
